Ways to Get Involved

Securing Redwoods

Coast redwoods are among Earth's oldest and tallest living organisms, with some trees reaching over 350 feet tall and living for more than 2,000 years. Our conservation efforts focus on protecting remaining old-growth forests, restoring logged areas, and creating wildlife corridors that connect fragmented habitats. Through strategic land acquisition and partnerships with local communities, we're working to ensure these magnificent giants continue to thrive for generations to come.

Wetland Restoration

Our coastal wetlands serve as critical nurseries for marine life and act as natural buffers against storm surges. We're working to restore over 5,000 acres of salt marshes and estuaries along the Atlantic coastline, protecting both wildlife and coastal communities from rising sea levels.

Marine Sanctuaries

We partner with federal and state agencies to establish and maintain marine protected areas that safeguard critical ocean habitats. These sanctuaries provide refuge for endangered sea turtles, migrating whales, and countless fish species while supporting sustainable fishing communities.

Dune Restoration

Coastal dunes are nature's first line of defense against erosion and flooding. Our restoration projects replant native sea oats and beach grasses while removing invasive species, rebuilding these vital barriers that protect inland communities and provide essential nesting habitat for shorebirds.

Deserts and High Plains

Desert Conservation

America's deserts support remarkable biodiversity, from iconic saguaro cacti to elusive desert tortoises. Our desert conservation initiatives focus on protecting critical water sources, combating invasive species, and working with local communities to preserve these fragile ecosystems that have evolved over millennia.

Grassland Prairies

North American prairies once covered 170 million acres but have declined by over 99%. Our grassland restoration projects work with ranchers to implement rotational grazing practices that benefit both livestock and native species like bison, prairie dogs, and grassland birds.
